The Bauerfeind MalleoLoc L Ankle Support has been used for many years with great success in cases of instability (including chronic), severe sprains (distortion), cartilage and capsular problems, overuse, tendonitis (Tendinitis) and in times of rehabilitation (e.g. after surgery or trauma).

The Bauerfeind Malleoloc L Ankle Support is known for its fine fit and wearing comfort, the brace does not need to be worn under the sole of the shoe compared to the Active ankle brace. The Bauerfeind Malleoloc L Ankle Support unilaterally stabilises the outside of the ankle and, thanks to its flat construction, also fits into shoes with a narrow fit. The anatomically shaped L-shell of the Malleoloc L lies against the lower leg, runs forwards along the outside of the ankle and further to slightly over the instep. It is fastened to the lower leg and foot with two non-elastic Velcro straps. In this way, the orthosis protects the ankle from incorrect movements, which could cause the ankle to sprain again. The natural unrolling process of the foot is supported in the process. If required, a small pressure cushion, called a pad, can be attached to the middle insert under the sole of the foot. The counter pressure of this stimulates the foot-lifting muscles while walking.
