Contra indication:

There are no known conditions in which the Bauerfeind MalleoLoc L3 Ankle Brace cannot or should not be worn.

The Bauerfeind MalleoLoc L3 Ankle Support has been used for years with great success in cases of instability (including chronic), severe sprains (distortion), cartilage and capsular problems, overuse, tendonitis (Tendinitis), and in times of rehabilitation (after e.g. surgery or trauma).

The Bauerfeind Malleoloc L3 Ankle Support is known for its fine fit and wearing comfort, the brace does not need to be worn under the sole of the shoe. The Bauerfeind Malleoloc L3 Ankle Support stabilises the outside of the ankle on one side Because the synthetic steel rests exclusively against the outside of the ankle, it is particularly flat, which is why the orthosis fits into narrow shoes. The special feature of this brace is:the orthosis has a dosage protection function and can therefore be used for gradual treatment.

The anatomically shaped L-shaped shell of the Malleoloc L3 lies against the lower leg, runs in front along the outside of the ankle and then slightly over the instep. It is fastened to the lower leg and foot with two non-elastic Velcro straps. In this way, the orthosis protects the ankle from incorrect movements, which could cause the ankle to sprain again. The natural unrolling process of the foot is supported in the process. If the need for stabilisation decreases, the shell can first be removed and the lower strap fastened to the support. The strap prevents the ankle from twisting. Without straps, the bandage stabilises indirectly through the massage effect during movement.
