Sustainable logistics

To minimise the impact of transporting our products, we work with sustainable carriers. These partners share our vision of environmentally conscious business and are committed to making their processes as energy-efficient and eco-friendly as possible. By choosing these carriers, we reduce the CO2 emissions associated with shipping your order.

Environmentally friendly packaging

Although we keep our packaging to a minimum, we have sustainable alternatives for those occasions when packaging is necessary. This helps to reduce waste and promote reuse.

Optimal reuse of products

We believe it is important to prevent waste and give products a second life. Returned items are carefully checked and, almost always, resold. In addition, we offer our customers attractive return deals, ensuring that products which might otherwise be lost are still put to good use.

Local involvement and sustainable commuting

At Podobrace, we place great value on our local community. The majority of our staff live in the immediate vicinity of our distribution centre and office. We actively encourage them to cycle to work. This is not only to promote their health, but also to reduce car traffic and, consequently, CO2 emissions. More than 80% of our staff at the office and distribution centre in Volendam cycle to work.

Future investments in renewable energy

We are preparing to install solar panels on the roof of our warehouse. Although the exact timing of this installation has not yet been finalised, this is an important step towards making our energy supply more sustainable. These solar panels will contribute to a significant reduction in our energy consumption from fossil fuels.

CO2 offsetting

In addition to our current sustainability measures, we are currently exploring the best opportunities to invest in CO2 offsetting initiatives. We are considering projects such as reforestation and other environmentally friendly activities. Such investments would not only reduce our ecological impact but also contribute to the conservation and restoration of natural ecosystems.
